About Us
Doug McKinney is a native of Porter, Oklahoma, where he was born and raised on a registered Angus cattle ranch. The McKinney family has been actively involved in livestock production for several generations. Because of the love and desire for agriculture that Doug developed at a young age, he continued his knowledge level by receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science in Agriculture from Stephen F. Austin University. Following graduation from OSU, Doug pursued a career in agriculture by serving as an Agriculture Extension Agent for Texas A&M University. After 11 years in Texas, Doug moved his family back to Oklahoma continuing his career in agriculture as a Beef Cattle Specialist for his alma mater, Oklahoma State University. Doug has been the guest speaker at hundreds of cattle and agriculture meetings and spoke to thousands of agriculturists about current trends in the agriculture industry.
Doug has been conducting and hosting auctions since 1997. His love for auctions and people led him to further his auction knowledge by attending and graduating from Missouri Auction School in 2010. Doug is well known for his extensive knowledge in the agriculture industry and carries his expertise into the auction market place. He understands the value of personal property and can get the information needed to successfully buy and sell. The McKinney Auctions team of trained professionals understands the market and takes great care in getting you top dollar for your assets. Doug is a member of the Oklahoma Auctioneers Association.
